i hiked Mt. Apo, on my own, accompanied by a porter-guide whom I hired in Lake Agco. he was a very strong and kind lad who assured me of his service if ever i decide to do it again.
being "alone" i had more opportunity to interact with other hikers. it was a most enjoyable and peaceful communion with APO Bukid

i'd like to climb apo. which month do you think would be most ideal? my friends attempted to climb apo last march? but they were not allowed to pass because i think of the forest fire that happened days before their climb? may assurance ba na sure climb? sayang lang kasi baka hindi makaakyat, sayang naman un time and money and effort.

i just did climb mt.Apo,,going up is very exhausting,,,going down is even much more.'climbing is fun" really fun,,you get to see nature,,thick vegetation of the trees,,you can hear the creepy noises of the crickets,,,,all you can see is green,,trees big!as you ascend you may think twice if u still want to go further more and just quit and head back home..but i tell you..being there at the peak of Mt.apo is just like having a great achievement in life, all the pain of your knees,from endless walking,,almost losing your balance because of the heavy back pack you've got..when your there at the very top just a small breeze of the wind,,:WHHSSSSSSSSSSHHH...all of it will instantly be replaced with the line,,I MADE IT TO THE PEAK OF APO"at last!!!! LUTO_NA_TA_BAY!!!GUTOM KAAU WAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plan ko bumalik ulit (hopefully next year) para ma-witness yung clearing sa summit. Inulan kasi kami nung summit assault. Overall, it was a nice and worthwhile climb. A learning experience as well.
