A new Philippine outdoor company, INTREPID.PH, has announced that they are now offering packages for Mt. Kinabalu, including a Via Ferrata package. I met with the Intrepid guys recently and they cited local expertise (they are also based in Kota Kinabalu), extensive contacts, and convenient, hassle-free Kinabalu trips (they will take care of booking in Mt. Kinabalu Park) with the comfort of having Filipino trip coordinators.
Moreover, INTREPID is looking beyond Kinabalu and their are presently identifying new and exciting foreign destinations for Filipino outdoor enthusiasts. They will be the first Filipino company to offer a hiking package up Mt. Trusmadi, the second-highest mountain in Malaysia, dubbed as the "Mt. Halcon of Borneo" (see details below).

Hi Gid! This is supercool! We're planning to do this by 2010. Any chance of a climb being organized by Pinoy Mountaineer? :)
hello. we are planning to climb mt. kinabalu this comimg march 1 for our honeymoon but i cant seem to find any packages for 2 persons only. wou;d it be wiser to look for a climbing package such as this or better to just go there and look for our hotels and hire guides, entrace fee laban rata accomodation all by ourselves. tenks.
