PinoyMountaineer Gideon Lasco a finalist at the Globe Tatt Awards / Your votes are requested!
On June 13, 2012, it was announced that PinoyMountaineer (Gideon Lasco) is one of the finalist in the Globe Tatt Awards, in the Explorer Category!
I see this honor as reflective not only of the growth of PinoyMountaineer, but also the emergence of mountaineering as a mainstream recreational activity in the Philippines.
Other finalists include Anton Diaz of Our Awesome Planet with whom I did the Anawangin trek (Hiking matters #4), Enrico Dee of Byahilo, Bogart the Explorer, and Journeying James, with whom I am planning an exciting hike next month!
