Mt. Fuji as viewed from Kita-dake, the second highest mountain in Japan
This is a country page describing my hiking adventures in Japan.
As of November 2018, I have completed ten hiking trips in Japan, with over 30 hikes including 22 of the Hyakumeizan and all the Five Highest Mountains of Japan. Mt. Fuji, the highest in the country, thrice; Kita-dake and Ai-no-dake – the 2nd and 4th highest mountains in the country; and Asaki-dake, the highest in the northernmost major island of Hokkaido.
